Export packaging for SLS depends on the physical form:
- Powder and needles: 20 kg or 25 kg woven polypropylene bags with an inner polyethylene liner. The liner is essential — SLS is hygroscopic, and an unlined bag in a humid container voyage arrives as a block.
- SLS 30% liquid: plastic drums, with IBCs available for larger volumes.
Bags are normally palletized and shrink-wrapped for stability. A 20-foot container typically loads around 16–20 tons of bagged SLS depending on pallet size and local weight limits.
Marking usually includes product name, grade, net weight, batch/lot number and production date — the lot number on the bags should match the lot number on the COA.
